We are looking for a motivated individual interested in automated manufacturing and management to assist the Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day affairs of the department.
Fluency in English communication and reading/writing (emails, records and documentation) is essential.
Duties include:
• Monitor and report on task progress of department staff, including production designers, robotics technicians, 3D CAD technicians, mechanical engineers, and administrative staff to ensure that the department remains on schedule and meets our deadlines.
• Monitor and report on the daily, weekly, and monthly efficiency of Automated Production assembly lines, with a focus on maintaining and improving production efficiency for established products.
• Communicate with robotics technicians to understand and resolve issues in daily operation. Analysing and summarising trends for the Operations Manager.
• Manage all department assets, including keeping an up-to-date inventory, maintaining an organised warehouse, being aware of potential shortages and advising the Operations Manager in a timely manner. Department assets include robotic arms, automation and control components, such as sensors, pneumatic equipment (actuators, cylinders, valves and accessories), and raw materials (aluminium, stainless steel, plastics) for toolmaking and fixture-making.
• Attend weekly team meetings and production design & development meetings. Take meeting minutes and follow-up on outstanding issues both independently and in collaboration with your colleagues.
• Maintain communication and cooperative relationship with other departments (Engineering, Injection Molding, Spray Painting, Tooling, Purchasing etc.)
• Deputise for Operations Manager as required.

Language :
Must be fluent in English and comfortable with English communication. Listening skills, and writing/reading skills are essential. Speaking skills can be moderate (only communication necessary, no need to make oral presentations).
Knowledge of Chinese valued, but not required.
Work Experience:
Minimum 1 year of management experience OR 3-4 years of relevant work experience and management skills.
Education:
University degree in a relevant field. Applicants with a technical background (engineering, physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology etc.) are preferred.
Candidates from other fields who are fluent in English, have management experience, and are willing to learn technical skills are also welcome to apply.
